Welcome to the Home of TAI Martial Arts International
The objective of TAI Martial Arts International is to preserve the existing research into the TAI systems of Martial Arts and to continue improving upon the knowledge base that already exists. In order to do this we have joined together TAI Schools from around the world for the betterment of our arts, our students, and our schools.
TAI, Transition Action, Incorporated is a Martial Arts system created by David German. It is complied of various arts: TAI Kung Fu, White Tiger, Sil Lum, Ne waza, Taido, TAI Kenpo, Chin Na, Budojujutsu, White Eyebrow Kung Fu, White Hair Kung Fu, and several others depending upon the particular school.
TAI is a life-long study of the transitions between each art—a comprehensive examination of the “cracks” between the various arts. An education in TAI builds a wide base of skills, working on each art for a short time then switching his students over to discover the basics of the other art. So rather than learn each art from beginning to end before starting over with a new one, TAI students learn the basics of each, then the middle parts of each art, and finally the advanced parts of each art. This “horizontal” construction builds a Martial Artist who knows each art inside and out, someone who can use each art in pure form or combination.
Special thanks to "Kenpo" Joe Rebelo, the official TAI Historian who is responsible for collecting a lot of this information.
